Work Environment This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while being integrated into a vibrant community health clinic structure. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow counselors, who are all dedicated to delivering exceptional mental health care. The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patients' needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments for new and existing clients, utilizing evidence-based methods to formulate individual treatment plans that are both effective and personalized. Implement various therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other proven modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data security. Engage regularly with your treatment team through case consultations and peer review meetings, fostering a collaborative environment that enriches the quality of care provided. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources, promoting informed decision-making and support. Stay updated with current research, trends, and best practices in the mental health field to continually enhance your clinical skills and knowledge base. Patient Population / Client Focus At Lift Emotion Counseling Center, your role will center on working with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing acute and chronic mental health issues. You will provide individualized support designed to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns, facilitating their progress toward fulfilling lives. Your efforts will directly impact clients’ recovery journeys and overall quality of life. Qualifications A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Possession of a valid active license to practice in New Jersey, including LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. Ability to apply a range of psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in a solution-focused manner, tailored to individual client needs. Exceptional communication skills, with a strong capacity for building rapport with clients and their families. Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills to address diverse challenges in your practice. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, valuing collaborative efforts while maintaining individual accountability. Preferred Experience Experience working in a community mental health setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by underserved populations. Proven ability to incorporate cultural competence into your practice, enhancing the therapeutic process for diverse client backgrounds. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and improve workflow efficiency.
