Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your roles and responsibilities will include: Applying evidence-based mental health therapy techniques tailored to the individual needs of clients and their families to address diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify treatment needs and formulate initial discharge plans that facilitate ongoing care. Leading individual, group, or family therapy sessions as deemed appropriate in alignment with each client’s personalized treatment plan. Developing initial treatment plans based on assessments, coordinating with clients, and adjusting services as necessary to optimize care. Maintaining meticulous documentation of all therapy services according to organizational and professional standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Managing an assigned caseload effectively while actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to enhance collaborative care for clients. Demonstrating a compassionate and professional demeanor consistently, addressing client concerns and promoting a safe therapeutic environment. Executing additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the clinical supervisor to support overall team objectives. Patient Population / Client Focus This position encompasses a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families. You will assist clients in navigating a range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to familial discord and life transitions. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess: A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Active state or national licensure as a mental health professional, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience working with a varied clientele that includes both adults and children. Experience in community health settings and a range of therapeutic techniques will be an asset as you contribute to effective treatment plans.
