Are you an experienced inpatient coding professional with a passion for accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity? We're conducting a confidential search for Remote DRG Validators to join a highly respected healthcare consulting organization that partners with hospitals nationwide to improve coding accuracy, clinical documentation, and reimbursement outcomes.

What You'll Do:

\n

✔ Perform MS-DRG and APR-DRG validation reviews for inpatient medical records

\n

✔ Audit ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, DRG assignment, and provider documentation

\n

✔ Prepare clear audit rationales, physician queries, and appeal letters for coding denials

\n

✔ Educate coding teams on coding guidelines and best practices

\n

✔ Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, Official Coding Guidelines, Coding Clinic guidance, and UHDDS standards

\n

✔ Maintain exceptional quality standards with a target accuracy rate of 95–100%

\n

\n

What We're Looking For:

\n

\n
• AHIMA certification required (CCS, RHIT, or RHIA)
\n
• 5+ years of inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience
\n
• Extensive knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies
\n
• Experience with DRG validation, clinical validation, coding audits, CDI, quality assurance, or revenue integrity
\n
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to write audit findings and appeal letters
\n
• Experience with 3M, TruCode, Epic, Microsoft Office, and other HIM technologies preferred
\n
• Self-motivated professional who thrives in a remote environment
\n
