Crisis Intervention Specialist-LCSW

Crisis Intervention Specialist – Providence Portland Medical Center – Emergency Department On-Call, Variable Schedule The Crisis Intervention Specialist practices in an evaluation/treatment setting to evaluate and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders using a patient-centered and trauma-informed approach. The Specialist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, evaluating and diagnosing patients and their support systems using DSM. They assess risk to self/others, develop risk reduction plans and crisis psychosocial assessments, and create care plans with outpatient resources, follow-up appointments, and inpatient admissions as needed. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, unpredictable environment while respecting patient self-determination, reducing disparities, and adhering to the relevant code of ethics. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited school or a school in candidacy status. Oregon Clinical Social Worker License upon hire. At least 2 years of relevant social work experience, which may include CSWA experience. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience in acute care settings (All EMPLs: Care Management). Compensation Pay range: $41.63 - $64.63 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonuses.
