Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Billerica, MA that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations within a large corporate environment. This position will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, supporting month-end close activities, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience working in a complex corporate setting, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and account analysis
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support audit requests and provide required documentation
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and business needs

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Experience in General Ledger Accounting
• Experience working in a large corporate accounting environment
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience required
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, sorting, filtering, and data analysis
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a large, corporate environment (no small or family-owned businesses)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Strong month-end close experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
