Scheduler - LV Nellis Family Med Cl - Full Time 12 Rotating Shift (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

Job Responsibilities Schedules patient appointments and performs clerical and communication functions in the department/clinic. Provides courteous reception, greets patients, and verifies patient identity and eligibility. Answers phones, directs calls, and handles patient inquiries and escalations with sound judgment. Registers new patients, verifies insurance, and ensures appropriate coding and documentation. Maintains delegated worklists through the electronic medical record and performs other front‑desk functions. Acts as the positive “face” of the Health Center, serving as a liaison between patients, physicians, nurses, and other professional staff. Performs care‑coordinator duties as assigned and supports center operations by checking in patients and confirming appointment details. Provides benefit plan and eligibility information to patients, providers, unions, employers, and others. Essential Duties Schedules appointments, confirms patient availability, and reviews appointment details for accuracy. Handles patient requests and questions appropriately, maintaining a consistent, superior customer‑service experience. Adheres to Culinary Health Center and Jayakumar NV PC policies and procedures. Performs duties as a care coordinator when assigned and completes other tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical environment. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to interview patients and interact effectively with physicians, nurses, and other professional staff. Preferred Qualifications Additional experience in a medical customer‑service setting. Required Licenses/Certifications Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If not already possessed, a valid card must be obtained within 30 days of hire and renewed before expiration.
