Operating Room Registered Nurse Contract Position

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise to support surgical patients in a dynamic clinical setting. Qualifications and Experience

• Active and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Proficient in perioperative nursing procedures and sterile technique
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Schedule

Primary Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist during various surgical procedures, ensuring proper handling of instruments and supplies
• Monitor patients throughout operative phases, from pre-op assessments to post-surgical recovery
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Keep accurate intraoperative documentation and provide thorough patient updates to families and care teams
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and act within scope of RN licensure
