Work Environment

As a home care Physical Therapist, your work will be primarily conducted onsite in patients' homes, allowing you to build close relationships with your clients and their families. You will have the flexibility to create your own schedule, and typically work from Monday to Friday, which facilitates a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their homes to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about physical therapy practices, pain management strategies, and the effective use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care that meets the overall health needs of your patients.
• Stay updated on best practices and new advancements in physical therapy through continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Harmony in Motion, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children recovering from injuries, adults recovering from surgeries, and seniors managing age-related conditions. Your ability to adapt treatment methods to individual capabilities and goals is key to ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their specific situations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in documentation and technology, including electronic health records and other relevant software.
• Adaptability and a commitment to providing ethical and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in home care environments.

Compensation and Benefits
