VP of Fund and Corporate Accounting (Beachwood)

With more than 30 years of experience in asset management and development, we are a hands-on firm focused on building long-term relationships with our investors, tenants, clients, stakeholders, and communities. An affiliated company, ORG Portfolio Management LLC, provides investment management services for collective investment funds on behalf of its clients.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The activities listed below are not all-inclusive; rather, they represent the types of activities normally performed by this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:

· Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for collective investment funds in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable Investment Accounting procedures, and internal accounting policies and procedures.

· Record and update fund activity in the accounting system as transactions and activity occur, including activity reported by external investment managers.

· Manage cash for the funds, including monitoring cash positions, recording cash activity, and ensuring cash activity is accurately reflected in the accounting system.

· Review and validate investment activity, positions, valuations, and Net Asset Values (NAVs), and investigate and resolve discrepancies as necessary.

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial data and periodic financial reports for the funds in accordance with Investment Accounting procedures. Reporting should reflect the funds' quarterly reporting cycle, with ongoing monitoring and reporting of cash positions as required.

· Perform reconciliations of cash, investment activity, positions, and other fund accounting records; investigate variances and ensure discrepancies are resolved and appropriately documented.

· Maintain supporting schedules and documentation necessary to substantiate financial data and fund activity.

· Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP). IFRS reporting is not performed by this position; IFRS reporting is handled by non-U.S. managers.

· Support the accuracy and completeness of financial information used to prepare investor statements and other investor reporting. Investor statements are prepared using data from the accounting system by the appropriate team member.

· Prepare and process capital calls and distributions, ensuring accurate calculations, appropriate accounting treatment, and timely processing.

· Maintain detailed records of investor commitments, contributions, distributions, and other capital activity.

· Assist with waterfall calculations and carried interest computations, as applicable.

· Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as a primary accounting contact for external auditors.

· Prepare all necessary audit schedules, workpapers, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and audit reports.

· Coordinate with external investment managers and other third parties to obtain required information, documentation, confirmations, and supporting schedules for the audit.

· Respond to auditor inquiries, provide explanations and supporting documentation, and facilitate timely resolution of audit requests.

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting requirements, Investment Accounting procedures, internal controls, and company policies.

· Support required regulatory and compliance reporting, as applicable.

· Coordinate with the Company's external tax professionals, including Cohen, who is responsible for tax filings; this position does not prepare the Company's tax filings.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control of fund accounting processes.

· Utilize and optimize fund accounting and accounting systems to maintain accurate and timely financial information.

· Contribute to the development, documentation, and enhancement of internal accounting policies and procedures.

· Ensure accounting system data is complete, current, and accurately reflects fund activity and financial positions.

· Collaborate effectively with investment managers, external accountants, auditors, legal counsel, custodians, and other third-party service providers as necessary to obtain and validate accounting information.

· Communicate complex financial and accounting information clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.

· Respond to accounting-related questions and requests in a professional and timely manner.

· Work closely with internal team members responsible for investor reporting to support accurate and timely investor statements.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

· Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field required.

· Three or more years of accounting, finance, fund accounting, or related experience required.

· Demonstrated experience working in an accounting system environment is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience using accounting software or financial accounting systems; accounting knowledge without accounting system experience is not sufficient.

· Experience with RealPage accounting software is preferred; experience with other accounting systems software is required.

· Working knowledge of fund accounting and administration, including accounting for collective investment funds.

· Understanding of financial accounting for collective investment funds, with an emphasis on financial data accuracy, investment accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and cash management.

· Experience coordinating audits and preparing audit schedules, workpapers, supporting documentation, and reports preferred.

· Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate information from external managers and service providers.
