- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients that span pediatric, adult, and senior demographics, utilizing validated assessments and observational insights.
- Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionalities.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to foster a unified approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment plan.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and methodologies in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised clinical fellowship year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for all ages, with strong proficiency in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to personalize therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable with digital record-keeping and compliance with documentation standards.
