Position Information Position: Adjunct Faculty – Division of Graduate Education and Advanced Practice Department: GEAP DIVISION (00989 – CON) Location: Salt Lake City, UT Track: New Position to Begin When Filled Details Adjunct Faculty Position Division of Graduate Education and Advanced Practice Rank Dependent on Qualifications Adjunct faculty are contracted to teach generalist and specialist content throughout the College of Nursing programs (pre‑licensure, RN‑BS, MSN, DNP, PhD) and Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program (GIP) on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Qualifications Hold a master’s degree or higher. Depending on the assigned teaching role and program, hold an active license to practice nursing (e.g., RN, APRN) in the State of Utah. Demonstrate educational and experiential preparation for the assigned teaching role. Responsibilities Co‑coordinate teaching and learning activities. Communicate student issues and/or concerns with directors and other members of College of Nursing leadership. Attend course‑related faculty meetings. Provide input into course objectives, including updates, revisions and/or deletions. When applicable, maintain optimal relationships with assigned clinical agencies. Follow course syllabi and determine student learning objectives. Counsel students and maintain accurate records. Serve as a role model for students.
