Position: Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist – Neuroscience Location: San Francisco, CA; Santa Cruz, CA; Palo Alto, CA Position Summary: The TAS role is critical in executing BMS's engagement with HCPs, driving adoption of medicines. The primary responsibility is to drive demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio, engaging HCPs with a differentiated customer experience, building credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians. The role is field‑based, spending 100% of time in the field. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Promotion Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients. Maintain advanced scientific expertise for assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use CE^3 tools to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback to enable continuous improvement. Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources and publications, ensuring medical accuracy. Conduct in‑office presentations and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs, select speakers from the approved list, and facilitate scheduling and logistics. Stay current on emerging data for approved indications. Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Collaborate proactively with field teams to ensure superior customer experience. Share relevant insights internally with stakeholders to better serve customers. Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or at least 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, or HCP roles. Ability to communicate scientific data accurately and convincingly to physicians. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and office staff. Experience in Neurology preferred. Strong account management, selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record. Effective cross‑functional collaboration and positive team mindset. Remote Work Field‑based role requiring 100% travel to customers; work model is fully on‑site and in‑field. Compensation Overview Field – United States – $139,230 – $168,714 (annual base).
