Sample Processing Associate I - Weekend PM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Lab Associate I for specimen processing in a Madison diagnostics laboratory. The role involves accessioning, automation operation, sample handling, and lab maintenance on weekend evenings, supporting cancer diagnostics operations.

Responsibilities

Perform specimen accessioning, processing, and automation operation
Maintain lab equipment, perform maintenance tasks, and ensure cleanliness
Document problems and resolutions following Good Documentation Practices
Handle and dispose of specimens following safety and standard precautions
Support quality and process improvement initiatives and departmental audits

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
Legal authorization to work without sponsorship
Capability to work standing and seated for extended periods
Tolerance for handling bodily fluids and hazardous materials

Compensation: $14.85–$29.65/hour
