Key Account Manager - Food Ingredients
Location: St Louis (On Site) or Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin (Remote)

I am currently partnered with a well-established global organisation specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of colour solutions and food ingredients. With a strong international footprint, the company operates across multiple continents, supported by numerous production sites and technical laboratories. Its products are sold in over 100 countries and span a diverse portfolio including natural extracts, food ingredients, industrial colour solutions, and additives for various industries.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the food colours or ingredients sector and a proven track record in managing strategic accounts and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of strategic sales performance, ensuring delivery of monthly and annual revenue targets
- Develop and execute account plans to maintain and grow business within key accounts and prospective clients
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across procurement, R&D, and technical teams
- Coordinate closely with customer service teams to resolve operational issues effectively
- Align sales strategies across global teams for international key accounts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and gather relevant commercial intelligence
- Represent the company at trade shows, presentations, and industry events
- Support the ongoing development and retention of key customer relationships
Requirements
- 5+ year Experience within the food colours or food ingredients industry is essential
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on profitable growth
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
