Account Director - AI Data | Remote (US) | Bay Area Preferred

The Company

A venture-backed AI data company that's quietly become the go-to partner for some of the most demanding names in frontier AI. While everyone else was building generic data labelling operations, they went code-only. Exclusively. Senior engineers generating and evaluating the expert code data that trains the world's best models. The kind of signal you cannot fake or automate. It worked. They're now embedded with Mag 7 AI labs and growing fast.

The Role

This is an Account Director position sitting inside their Human Data division. You'll own and grow one of their most strategic Mag 7 accounts - hunting within the account, expanding relationships, and building your own team around it as the business scales.

This is not a caretaker role. The playbook isn't written yet. The person who comes in gets to write it.

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning post-sale relationships with frontier AI lab clients at a senior level
• Hunting and expanding within a Mag 7 account - growing revenue and deepening relationships
• Building trusted relationships with research scientists, AI leaders and data strategy teams
• Navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations at C-suite and technical levels
• Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and delivery teams to ensure client outcomes
• Shaping how the company scales within the most important accounts in AI

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years in enterprise sales or account management
• 3+ years in a technical account management or solutions engineering role
• Genuine knowledge of the AI data space - specifically post-training, SFT, RLHF or DPO
• Experience selling into or alongside frontier AI labs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, Amazon etc.)
• Proven success managing and growing $1M+ ARR accounts with complex stakeholder maps
• Someone who can hold their own in a room with a research scientist and a CFO alike
• A hustler - someone who brings their experience, not someone who needs to be trained
• Willing to travel 20-25% and based in or open to relocating to the SF Bay Area
