Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Carry out a diverse array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort during procedures, clearly explaining every step with compassion
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Thoroughly document procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
