We are hiring a Material Coordinator to support smooth and efficient material flow throughout our manufacturing operations. This role supports shipping, receiving, order kitting, ERP transactions, and coordination between departments. The Material Coordinator ensures materials are moved accurately, safely, and on time to support production demands and customer delivery expectations. The Material Coordinator reports directly to the Materials Supervisor. Key Responsibilities
• Assist with order picking (kitting), packaging, shipping, and receiving
• Deliver material and kits to the production floor accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate material transfers between departments and work orders
• Partner closely with the Materials Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Plant Manager to maintain seamless supply chain flow
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, use of PPE, and safe operation around equipment
• Serve as a backup for other Material Coordinator roles
• Cross-train across materials functions to support business needs
• Perform accurate data entry and move work orders within the ERP system
• Review and inspect materials per SOPs and control plans
• Support 5S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify defects and take appropriate action
• Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Required
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, follow, and sign route sheets
• Basic computer skills, including navigating the internet, using Excel for data entry, and sending emails
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations
• Self-motivated with strong time-management skills
• Knowledge of SOPs Preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• ERP system experience
• Familiarity with continuous improvement or lean concepts Experience with inventory control, cycle counts Working Environment & Physical Requirements
• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled facility
• May require sitting or standing for long periods and repetitive hand movements
• May be required to lift 5-25 lbs repetitively or up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Work environment may involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, or odors (PPE provided)
• These conditions reflect typical environments encountered while performing essential job functions
