Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring that care is individualized and relevant.

• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions to address the unique needs and situations of your clients.
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, within specified time frames to streamline client care.

• Develop vital crisis intervention and safety plans when necessary, as well as long-term relapse prevention and wellness plans aimed at helping clients maintain stable functioning.

• Create comprehensive discharge plans in consultation with patients to facilitate their smooth transition out of therapy.
\n
• Adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as Kinetic's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and ethical practice.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education opportunities, with a focus on enhancing your therapeutic competencies.

• Participate in case consultations and collaborative agency meetings to share insights and improve service delivery.
\n
• Maintain all licensure and complete required mandatory training to stay current in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population, encompassing a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex issues requiring specialized therapeutic approaches. Your work will emphasize a strengths-based approach, focusing on empowering clients and their families to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field that qualifies you for licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the State of Maryland, including qualifications as an LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW-C.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome licensed professionals from various backgrounds, experience in outpatient settings and familiarity with telehealth platforms would be advantageous, allowing you to transition smoothly into this remote role. Additionally, experience with evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is highly desirable.
