Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse patterns and mental health status.

• Design and formulate individualized treatment plans that address clients’ specific addiction challenges and underlying mental health conditions.

• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and group counseling workshops using proven, evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure cohesive, integrated care tailored to each client’s recovery journey.

• Provide education and support to clients’ families to foster a comprehensive understanding of the recovery process and encourage their involvement.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in line with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work predominantly with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from mild dependencies to severe addictions. Your ability to empathize and build strong relationships with clients will be pivotal as you guide them through therapeutic processes leading to lasting change. Qualifications\n

• A valid and active mental health license in Maryland as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C, or PsyD.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise or specialized training in addiction counseling methodologies.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for treating substance use and co-occurring disorders.

• Exceptional counseling and therapeutic skills, demonstrating the ability to motivate and engage clients in their recovery.

Preferred Experience\n

Prior experience in substance abuse treatment will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with treatment planning and case management within outpatient settings. Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
