This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position in a retail pharmacy setting located in Bronx, NY. The role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, ideal for those seeking career growth in a supportive environment. You will be working within a compact team consisting of three technicians, one delivery person, and a store manager. The pharmacy processes about 200 prescriptions per day, providing a dynamic yet manageable workflow.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 4x10 schedule with no weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately checking and verifying prescriptions
- Collaborating with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Providing expert guidance on prescription medications (note: no vaccines administered)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid, clear, and active New York pharmacist license
- Local candidates preferred
- Retail pharmacy experience is a plus but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience with BestRx system is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided
