A dynamic opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist is available at a busy retail pharmacy in Bronx, NY, operating under a 13-week contract-to-hire arrangement. This role offers a rewarding environment to apply pharmacy skills in a high-volume setting, handling approximately 200 prescriptions daily.
The schedule features a balanced 4x10 workweek from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with no weekend shifts. The pharmacy team consists of three technicians, one delivery person, and a store manager, fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately check and verify prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance (note: no vaccine administration required)
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth operations and high-quality customer service
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active New York State pharmacy license
- Residency local to the Bronx or nearby areas preferred
- Retail pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory; new pharmacy graduates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with BestRx pharmacy system is ideal, though training will be provided for qualified candidates
