Description

• Conduct assessments for a diverse patient population comprising pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that meet the short-term goals along with the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy focused on various aspects including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's journey.
• Ensure meticulous documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field via continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
