- Conduct assessments for a diverse patient population comprising pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that meet the short-term goals along with the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy focused on various aspects including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to design comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's journey.
- Ensure meticulous documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field via continuous education and peer collaboration.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all age groups, combined with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and a wide-ranging interdisciplinary care team.
- Ability to tailor therapy strategies to address diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
