Staff Accountant

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in Pittsburgh, PA. This hybrid position is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain journal entries and general ledger transactions
• Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budget tracking
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Assist with audits and special accounting projects

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous experience as a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience with month-end close processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and time management abilities

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
