Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in St. Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted. Job Title Travel RN – Surgical Step Down (Days) Location Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 or 48 hours per week (must be indicated at time of submission) | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for post-operative, trauma, and high-acuity medical patients Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac drips, BiPAP , and other advanced interventions in a stepdown environment Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and patient comfort Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care providers Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with applicable standards and regulations Float to departments of equal or lower acuity as needed based on unit staffing requirements Required Qualifications Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) — required ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) — required Minimum 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (declinations are not accepted) Proficiency with EPIC EMR Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with post-operative care including high-acuity surgical patients Familiarity with cardiac drip management and BiPAP monitoring Experience caring for trauma patients and patients with complex medical comorbidities Strong critical thinking, time management, and team-oriented approach to patient care Why Join Us Work at a nationally recognized facility that is a designated Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center Experience everything Saint Louis has to offer — from world-class dining and entertainment to professional sports, cultural landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 775778.
