Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama SPED (Special Education) licensure
  • Elementary roles require a K-6 endorsement
  • Secondary positions require a 6-12 endorsement
  • Endorsement must align with age group applied for
• Experience supporting students in self-contained or specialized settings preferred
• Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to personalized education
• Ability to manage diverse learning needs with compassion, patience, and structure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction using evidence-based interventions in self-contained or high school settings
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize growth
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates student strengths
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and school staff

Role Highlights:

• Onsite, full-time (37.5 hours/week) contract positions for the 2026–2027 school year
• Diverse caseloads primarily elementary, with positions in high school as well
