LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a growing corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ that is looking to add a Collections Specialist to the accounting team. This individual will be handling high volume outbound calls to collect on B2B and B2C past-due accounts. This is an onsite position Monday through Friday full-time $23.00-$25.00 per hour depending on prior experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business and consumer accounts with outstanding balances.
• Contact customers via high volume outbound calls as well as some inbound correspondence regarding overdue invoices.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and establish payment plans when appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputed invoices, and payment issues.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and account status.
• Document all collection activity accurately within the accounting or CRM system.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Sales, Customer Service, and Management teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Review account histories and identify trends affecting collections performance.
• Recommend accounts for escalation, legal review, write-off, or third-party collections when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable collection regulations.
• Prepare collection reports and provide updates on high-risk accounts.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of collections, accounts receivable
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
