Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Coastal Physical Therapy, you will work onsite in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Yonkers, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Develop individual treatment plans based on initial evaluations and patient progress assessments, aimed at reducing pain and restoring mobility.
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they effectively implement therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient functionality, including muscle strength, movement patterns, and pain responses using a variety of diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Manage and document patient care through electronic health records, including progress notes, evaluation reports, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Engage in continuous patient monitoring to track improvements or changes, communicating these insights to interdisciplinary team members and the patient's physician.
• Instruct patients and their families on exercise regimens, home modifications, and the use of assistive devices to promote independence.
• Participate actively in treatment planning meetings, contributing to collaborative strategies and sharing insights related to patient care.
• Deliver various physical therapy techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and electrical stimulation.
• Evaluate and recommend the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices, working closely with physicians to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Maintain a supportive and adaptive environment, catering to a diverse patient population with orthopedic needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
