Work Environment

This role is based in our Yonkers outpatient office, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support effective treatment delivery. You will work within a collaborative team atmosphere, engaging with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, offering flexible scheduling options from either 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as massage and stretching.
• Participate in clinical teaching and mentoring of physical therapy students and interns, providing valuable insights and guidance on best practices in patient care.
• Collaborate with the clinic's management team to identify educational needs within the staff and offer resources to fulfill these needs.
• Contribute to clinical research initiatives in your area of expertise, aiming to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery trajectories.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with state and federal regulations, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for efficient tracking and reporting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting these individuals on their road to recovery, helping them regain function and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Through focused one-on-one sessions, you will create an encouraging environment, fostering trust and motivation among your clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active New York State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to patients.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse patient population and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of practice.
• Experience in clinical teaching and mentorship within a physical therapy environment.
• Prior involvement in clinical research initiatives focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
