Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Outpatient Care

This position offers a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic issues.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to promote healing.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and the importance of adherence to facilitate recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Assist in instructing Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and provide mentorship to support their professional development.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately in compliance with clinic protocols and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy through continuous professional development and evidence-based research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will tailor treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each patient, fostering an environment of trust and motivation on their journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current New York State Physical Therapist license.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant clinical training are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including functional movement assessments and manual therapy, is essential.
• Strong communication skills are vital to effectively educate and motivate patients, as well as collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in orthopedic care is ideal, we encourage new graduates who have completed internships in orthopedic settings to apply. Any additional certifications in specialized treatment modalities, experience working with sports injuries, or knowledge of chronic pain management will be considered a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits

BodySync PT offers competitive compensation ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
