Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, you will work within a supportive and engaging environment that values work-life balance. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies, ensuring that you have the tools needed to deliver quality care. With a typical schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structure that allows you to provide optimal patient care and maintain personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients to determine the most effective treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic needs.
• Implement and adapt individualized rehabilitation programs, utilizing diverse therapy techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on injury prevention.
• Monitor patient progress closely, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evaluations and feedback.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and Physical Therapist Assistants on therapy techniques and exercises, ensuring understanding and adherence to the treatment regimen.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in alignment with clinic policies and industry regulations, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes effectively.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in continuing education to enhance therapeutic expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a varied patient demographic, addressing conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic musculoskeletal disorders. This role provides the unique opportunity to work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, allowing you to develop specialized skills and knowledge in orthopedic therapies.

Qualifications

• Current physical therapy license in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic care is required; however, motivated new graduates with relevant clinical rotations may also be considered.
• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and functional assessments that aid in patient rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with occupational and speech therapists.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development through workshops and certifications.
