Work Environment

The role of the Physical Therapist is centered around our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Hackensack. You will be immersed in an engaging workplace where collaboration and innovation are encouraged. Your typical workweek will run Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a steady flow of patients and meaningful interactions. With a manageable patient volume of 5 to 7 patients per day, you will have the time to focus on quality care while building therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough orthopedic assessments to identify patient needs, goals, and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in conjunction with the patient and multidisciplinary team, focusing on evidence-based interventions.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to individual recovery paths.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case reviews and team meetings to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on safe body mechanics and effective prevention strategies to reduce the risk of future injuries.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records, documenting evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with established standards.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in orthopedic physical therapy to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients suffering from various orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on returning patients to their optimal functional levels, enhancing their quality of life, and providing them with the tools and knowledge to manage their conditions effectively.

Qualifications

• Valid physical therapy licensure in good standing within the State of New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Doctorate or Master's degree from an accredited program.
• At least 2 years of experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation, demonstrating a successful track record of patient care.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with diverse healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong critical thinking skills to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and team insights.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment with hands-on experience managing a diverse patient caseload.
• Additional certifications in orthopedic specialties (e.g., OCS) or manual therapy techniques are highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for patient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
