Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Southern Synergy, Inc. Memphis, TN 38138 Education: Associate of Science in Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred. Experience: This position requires 3 years of Industrial experience. Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete design of complex electrical and instrumentation design assignments. Work will be performed on-site in the Memphis, TN area. Seeking an experienced electrical and instrumentation designer to support ongoing multi-discipline projects. Responsibilities include initial design responsibilities through startup and commissioning. Requirements Must be fluent in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software Must be familiar with: P&ID’s, motor elementary diagrams, single line diagrams, schematics, logic diagrams Process Instrumentation both discrete and analog — Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical equipment commonly used in oil/gas, chemical or power generation facilities Power distribution (LV & MV) – 24vdc, 4-20mA, 120vac, 480vac, 4.16kV thru 12.47kV Cable, conduit and cable tray design, including application of cable sizing and voltage drop calculations Knowledge of industrial and electrical codes and standards Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to spec instruments and hardware Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently About the company Southern Synergy, Inc. is a full-service engineering, procurement, construction management, project management, controls + automation, and technical services firm that performs engineering projects within the U.S. #J-18808-Ljbffr Southern Synergy, Inc.
