Position Purpose We are looking for an Operations Manager for our Baltimore, MD location. This position will have primary responsibility for managing the operations and ensuring top‑quality service is delivered to our customers. It is also responsible for developing new and creative solutions to business challenges and ever‑changing customer needs. Industry‑related expertise and experience will be utilized to ensure continuous improvement and optimization is achieved. The Baltimore Manager must have expert knowledge in U.S. customs regulation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and international transportation logistics. The manager must be innovative, change‑oriented, customer‑focused, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Position Functions As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful daily operation of your location and the corresponding customer needs. Duties include supervising employees, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, preparing monthly management reports, and supporting selling activities. We seek a motivated and flexible individual who is hands‑on, has demonstrated success in developing staff, and possesses keen business‑management skills as well as a strong customer focus. Position Requirements Extensive up‑to‑date industry‑related continuing education 5–10 years logistics/3PL experience Transportation/Warehousing/Import/Export experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines Demonstrated ability to lead teams cooperatively and successfully while dealing with all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to execute customer plans and operating procedures DF Young cares for its employees, their families, and their communities.
