Business Development Manager

San Jose, CA | Hybrid (3 days/week in the office) This client is a global engineering company specializing in multidisciplinary solutions for high-tech industries, including semiconductors, photonics, quantum, defense, and nuclear technologies. With more than 1,300 employees worldwide and over 30 years of experience , they partner with customers to develop innovative products and solve complex engineering challenges. As they continue expanding their U.S. presence, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to help grow strategic customer relationships and secure new engineering projects. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities within high-tech markets. Build relationships with new and existing customers. Identify customer challenges and work with engineering teams to develop solutions. Lead opportunities from the initial conversation through proposal, negotiation, and contract. Manage strategic customer accounts and support long-term partnerships. Work closely with project managers and engineers throughout the sales process. Serve as the primary contact between U.S. customers and engineering teams in the Netherlands. Help expand the company's presence in the U.S. market. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, engineering services, technical sales, or account management. Engineering background or experience working in a technical environment. Understanding of product development and high-tech industries. Comfortable working with engineers as well as executive-level customers. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
