Partner Veterinarian - Private Practice (Lynnwood, WA)

Director opening with a full service, small animal hospital that is privately owned, established and growing.

Scope:

\n

1. Clinical responsibilities

\n

\n
• Provide high-quality veterinary care, examinations, diagnostics, treatment plans, and surgery as appropriate to the practice.
\n
• Build lasting relationships with clients through clear communication and compassionate care.
\n
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow applicable professional standards.
\n
• Help establish and maintain clinical protocols and standards of care.
\n

2. Team leadership and mentorship

\n

\n
• Collaborate with associate veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
\n
• Mentor and support other veterinarians where appropriate.
\n
• Contribute to onboarding and retention of veterinary team members.
\n
• Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
\n

\n

\n

3. Practice operations and business performance

\n

\n
• Participate in setting practice goals and identifying opportunities for growth.
\n
• Monitor relevant performance measures, such as client retention, appointment availability, productivity, and quality of care.
\n
• Help improve workflows, scheduling, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
\n
• Contribute to financial planning and expense management as agreed with the other owners.
\n

4. Ownership and strategic involvement

\n

\n
• Take an active interest in the clinic's long-term success and reputation.
\n
• Participate in strategic planning.
\n
• Contribute to decisions concerning staffing, equipment, services, and investments within the authority granted to the partner.
\n
• Share in the economic benefits and risks defined by the ownership agreement.
\n

Skills/Qualifications:

\n

Knowledge of Animal Behavior, Basic Safety, Documentation Skills, Customer Service, Performing Diagnostic Procedures, Use of Medical Technology, Integrity, Verbal Communication, Surgery and Dental, Staff Management.

\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Educational Background: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• State Veterinary Board License must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
\n
• Flexible work schedule, with preferred availability to work some weekends and holidays.
\n
• 8-10+ years of small animal experience is preferred.
\n

\n

The base salary is strong and based on experience. A 10% equity will be gifted to the Partner Veterinarian. Additional equity may be purchased.
