Registered Nurse - Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric

Overview We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adolescent Inpatient Psych Unit. This full‑time day shift position offers a $30,000 sign‑on bonus and referral eligibility. Responsibilities Deliver nursing care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions. Provide verbal de‑escalation, crisis support, and patient safety monitoring in both the inpatient psychiatric unit and the Behavioral Health Access Center (Psychiatric Holding Unit). Establish therapeutic boundaries, support family engagement, and lead nursing enrichment activities. Coordinate evidence‑based care across the continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Qualifications Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Indiana RN license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program; candidates with more than two years of acute‑care experience may be considered under review. Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life‑support certifications may be required per unit policies. Unit Highlights Involvement in the newly opened Psych Holding Unit in the Emergency Department (opened February 2025).
