Vice President, Portfolio Chemistry

Revolution Medicines

Revolution Medicines seeks a Vice President of Portfolio Chemistry to lead medicinal chemistry strategy and execution across their oncology discovery portfolio. This executive will oversee advancement of small-molecule programs from hit validation through development candidate nomination, integrating modern chemistry approaches with AI-enabled drug discovery tools.

Responsibilities

Lead medicinal chemistry strategy and execution for discovery portfolio advancement
Partner with research leadership to define long-term portfolio expansion strategy
Integrate computational chemistry, AI/ML, and digital drug discovery capabilities into workflows
Manage organizational planning, talent development, and internal/external resource allocation
Drive alignment across research functions and establish project leadership excellence

Requirements

Extensive medicinal chemistry experience in drug discovery and development
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary chemistry teams and organizations
Strategic expertise in portfolio management and resource allocation
Knowledge of computational chemistry, AI/ML applications in drug discovery
Experience managing external partnerships and CRO relationships
Track record of delivering development candidates in oncology or adjacent areas
