Compensation: $19.50 per hour

RTS Access provides complementary paratransit service for individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route transit. As an RTS Access Scheduler, you'll help connect customers to essential destinations while ensuring transportation resources are used efficiently.

About the Role

The RTS Access Scheduler assists customers with transportation reservations, scheduling, trip changes, and service inquiries while using computerized scheduling software. This position requires excellent customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

Up to 29 hours per week based on shift bid.
Includes one weekend day and may include both.
Weekday hours: 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.
Weekend hours: 8:00 a.m.1:00 p.m.
Must be available for weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling.
Union position represented by Teamsters Local 118.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service during trip reservations.
• Schedule and negotiate trip requests using Trapeze scheduling software.
• Resolve ride conflicts with dispatchers.
• Update rider information and service records.
• Use GPS software to locate vehicles.
• Review manifests to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with customer inquiries and complaints.
• Support surveys and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• One year of call center experience.
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of Monroe County roads, landmarks, and geography.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary office work with frequent computer use. Regular sitting, talking, hearing, and close vision are required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching. Moderate noise environment. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
