Prepare surfaces by filling cracks, holes, and joints with compound, putty, or caulk; sand and smooth surfaces. Mix and match paints to achieve proper color and finish. Apply multiple coats and complete touch‑ups as needed. Worksite Setup & Cleanup Protect surrounding areas using coverings and tape. Move furniture and remove fixtures prior to painting. Clean work areas , remove splatters, and maintain equipment. Tools, Equipment & Safety Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Operate ladders and spray guns for high or large‑surface projects. Comply with MIOSHA regulations and maintain safe, orderly workspaces. Identify and report issues such as defective materials or unsafe conditions. Additional Responsibilities Estimate materials and costs for assigned projects. Perform departmental duties as assigned. Engage in proactive problem solving to ensure proper finish application.
