Chef De CuisineGood, clean food is coming to Culver City. We are opening a new location in the Helms District! We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine to build and lead our opening team!The Executive Kitchen Manager or as we call them, the Chef de Cuisine (CDC), at goop kitchen will be responsible for overseeing the daily culinary operations of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in line with our clean, health-conscious standards. This position will work closely with the Market Director, Director of Kitchen Operations, Area CDC, and kitchen staff to maintain the integrity of our menu, drive innovation in our offerings, and support Goop Kitchen's mission of promoting nutritious, flavorful, and sustainable eating.Culinary Leadership: Lead kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet Goop Kitchen's high standards for health-conscious and allergen-friendly meals.Menu Execution: Oversee the consistent execution of Goop Kitchen's menu items, including recipe adherence, portion control, and ingredient quality.Staff Supervision: Manage and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment while maintaining high performance and productivity.Inventory & Sourcing: Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, and manage inventory to minimize waste while maximizing efficiency.Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all food safety protocols, kitchen hygiene standards, and health regulations are strictly followed, including allergen management and HACCP guidelines.Cost Management: Monitor food and labor costs to ensure they are within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards in product and service.Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency with Goop Kitchen's brand.RequirementsAt least 2 years of proven experience leading a high volume kitchen or culinary operation (e.g. Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, General Manager)Experience managing P&L, labor cost, and food cost targetsProven track record of managing, mentoring, motivating kitchen staff at all levelsServSafe certification or other relevant food safety certificationBilingual — Spanish/EnglishPreferredExperience supporting new restaurant openings or multi-location operationsBackground in health-forward, clean-ingredient, made-to-order kitchen conceptsExperience with delivery-first or digital food conceptsBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageBonus potentialMedical, Dental and Vision insurancePaid time off401k matchAnnual cell phone reimbursementEmployee discount.Opportunity to build and work in a dynamic and innovative environment.A chance to make a meaningful impact on a rapidly growing brand.About goop kitchengoop kitchen is an upscale fast-casual concept, founded by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2021, serving real, clean, and delicious food made-to-order.
