Birchwood Transport is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team on 2nd shift in Kenosha County, WI! Position Overview The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing Birchwood Transport’s fleet in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role includes routine maintenance, service work, and repairs on tractors, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment, ensuring all equipment meets Birchwood Transport and DOT standards. Key Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on fleet equipment in a timely and safe manner Conduct routine servicing and inspections of tractors, trailers, and reefer units Ensure all equipment meets Birchwood Transport specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Complete required documentation and inspections accurately Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair, or a combination of education and experience DOT Certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes (preferred) Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Basic computer skills and comfort working with digital systems Must provide own tools Strong attention to safety and detail Schedule Monday–Friday: 2:30 PM to shift end (approximately 11:00 PM) Every other Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM What We Offer Competitive wages Full benefits package Stable work with a well-established, family-owned company A team-focused environment that values safety and quality Interested candidates: Apply today and become part of a company that values experience, reliability, and long-term growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr Birchwood Transport Inc
