Drug Substance MSAT Scientist II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Drug Substance MSAT Scientist II to support manufacturing process development for injectable products, managing technology transfer activities from client projects to commercial production lines. The role combines experimental design, formulation work, and documentation responsibilities with moderate project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Execute technology transfer activities and manufacturing process development for injectable product scaleup to commercial lines
• Conduct experimental design work to establish formulations, product pathways, and component selection
• Create and support work orders, protocols, technical summaries, and project documentation with minimal supervision
• Participate in process validation, change control actions, and technical problem-solving as subject matter expert
• Collect and support statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related physical science
• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical product development or contract manufacturing organization (CMO) setting
• Detailed knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and scientific methodology
• Experience in technology transfer or process validation activities
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external technical discussions
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and learn new pharmaceutical equipment and procedures

Compensation: $66,000–$99,000 base
