Pastry Cook

Responsibilities Oversees assigned areas of pastry production and works service. Executes recipes, maintains kitchen equipment, and remains punctual. Utilizes working knowledge of basic pastry techniques—scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, finishing, etc. Assists in the production of a dynamic pastry program for the restaurants and bakery, including seasonal specials. As a member of the bakery team, ensures that stated direction and guidance in quality standards are achieved daily. Assures all necessary items are in the restaurant/bakery at the start of the shift and communicates any needs in an appropriate timeframe, ensuring all ingredients meet quality standards established by the Chef. Qualifications Minimum 1–3 years’ professional cooking experience in a restaurant or establishment of similar caliber. High School Diploma or equivalent level of education, required (must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak, and interpret documents in clear English. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Organized, motivating, and personable, with excellent communication skills; knowledge of reservation management systems is highly preferred.
