At Northrop Grumman, you’ll have the resources, support, and team to do some of the best work of your career.We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Software Configuration Analyst based out of our McClellan, CA office.What You’ll get to Do:Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Configuration Analyst to help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large- and small-scale programs.Your roll will involve planning and coordinating preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.The Sr. Principal Software Configuration Analyst may also perform the following:Coordinating/creating configured builds for test and deliveryAdministration of the SCM toolsFacilitate and scribe for control board meetings, creating build and delivery documentation, andprocess improvement activitiesEstablish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and productsPossess understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards as requiredProposal supportSpecification writingProcedure documentation to include graphicsWhite papersTest plansBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of related experience, Master’s with 7 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeU.S. Citizenship is requiredActive Secret ClearanceAbility to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)Experience in software configuration management or within a related areaExperience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and deliveryExperience utilizing SCM principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards is requiredExperience with Agile methodology and working as a member of a software development team in an Agile environmentExperience with proposal documentation, white papers, test plansPreferred Qualifications:Active Secret clearance with Special Program Access (SAP)Experience with implementing SCM on a large-scale programExperience with software source control and configuration management tools and environments (Atlassian, Git, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows)Experience in configuring and administering DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Gitlab Pipelines/Runners to streamline CI/CD processesExperience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShellNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
