In this senior role, you will sit at the intersection of capital management, client strategy, and commercial lending, partnering with global coverage teams, finance, risk, and underwriting to ensure capital is deployed effectively to drive strong revenues and returns. This is a high-visibility opportunity that offers direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful influence over the strategic direction of Citi’s commercial banking platform.Key Responsibilities:Lead commercial lending submissions to senior internal forums covering balance sheet, capital, and risk reviews, ensuring that positions are accurately represented and strategically soundServe as an agile advisory partner with an ability to shift from a top-down portfolio focus to a bottoms-up client viewpointProduce executive-level presentations and technical reports for CCB and Banking senior management translating complex data into clear, actionable insightsMonitor liquidity management and limits management targets and positionsDesign and implement digital tools and structured processes that embed capital and loan product management disciplines into daily commercial banking operationsTrack regulatory capital developments and assess their potential impact on CCB’s lending strategy and client base, ensuring the business remains proactively well positioned within the evolving capital landscapeAnalyze client and loan profitability across the commercial portfolio, assessing revenue generation, cost structure, funding, liquidity, cost of credit, tax implications, capital and risk-adjusted returnsCreate educational materials and frameworks for commercial bankers on client returns, capital management, and lending products concepts, raising analytical capability across the businessAssist with the capital approval process for the Commercial Bank, evaluating new loan and capital commitments on a risk-adjusted returns basis to ensure disciplined decision-makingMonitor loan product performance and client profitability against defined targets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and the lending experienceOperate in a complex environment with rapid currents of changeSupport a strong risk and control environment across CitiKnowledge and Experience:10 or more years of experience in banking, loan or product management, or a closely related financial services disciplineDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams toward high-value business outcomes, influencing stakeholders across coverage, finance, risk, strategy and technology functionsBroad functional experience spanning areas such as banking relationship management, credit, finance, analytics, or commercial lending operationsProven track record of using data analytics and management information to drive business performance and support strategic decision-makingAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities with precision and composure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environmentExceptional interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build consensus, influence senior stakeholders, and present complex ideas conciselyBachelor’s degree or equivalent university qualificationBeneficial Skills & Qualifications:Familiarity with current bank capital frameworks, including tangible common equity and Basel risk-weighted asset methodologiesWorking knowledge of commercial lending practices and risk policies relevant to a global commercial banking environmentHigh individual productivity, excellent attention to detail, and an efficient approach to project managementQuantitative mindset, inquisitive, and collaborative approachHigh level of personal integrity and interest in building the businessMaster’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, or economicsWhat We OfferJoining Citi means becoming part of a global institution with over 200 years of experience and a network that spans 95 countries.
