About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Sales and Garden Events to provide strategic leadership and drive business growth within its renowned public garden and visitor destination. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading a multi-year strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, enhances its competitive position, and meets or exceeds revenue and performance goals. This role requires a leader with a strong background in hospitality, events, and sales, who can identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities, and ensure the delivery of exceptional experiences for guests, members, and clients. The Vice President will also be tasked with managing operating and revenue budgets, establishing financial forecasts, and fostering a culture of innovation and achievement within the Sales and Garden Events team. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree or professional credentials being a plus. A minimum of 10 years' experience in a related industry, including significant senior leadership responsibility, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and growing a revenue-generating business, strong financial acumen, and the ability to develop and lead high-performing teams. Essential skills include excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making, as well as experience with CRM, event-management, and related business systems. The role demands a leader who is adept at working with multiple stakeholders, can balance business opportunities with the organization's mission and values, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
