Senior Territory Sales ManagerAMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our Excellence Team based in Orlando, Florida and surrounding areas. The Senior Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales and agency management related activity within the assigned geographical territory. This position will work under the leadership of the Regional Vice President of Sales and in partnership with underwriting, safety, marketing and other AMERISAFE departments to achieve the stated sales and production goals.Qualifications5 years of insurance sales experiencePossesses an in-depth knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and strong knowledge of agency/wholesaler mechanicsAbility to manage a remote territory working with limited directionDedicated problem solver with the ability to own an issue or request and collaborate with others to ensure satisfactory resolutionExcellent organizational, interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills and mindsetAbility to demonstrate integrity, exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm, and establish trust and credibilityBusiness acumen to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and represent the Company professionallyAgile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situationsWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeBachelor's degree preferred or relevant industry experienceResponsibilitiesDevelop an annual territory plan that aligns with the regional and company growth and profitability goalsWeekly agency visits with occasional overnight travel including travel to trade shows, conventions, and internal meetingsCompletes annual agency business plans with appropriate action items to ensure company objectives are achievedOversee the development and management of partnerships within the designated agency plant regarding company products and drive submission activity and profitable premium growthDevelop key partnerships with independent agencies to increase the success of the carrier – agency relationshipCollaborate effectively with internal and external partners to deliver an exemplary customer experienceResponsible for managing assigned agencies and the prospecting of potential new agency partnersKeep our team informed of industry trends through contact with independent agents and interactions at insurance industry meetings and conventionsTimely completion of administrative duties such as weekly call and expense reportsAssists in special assignments and projects at the request of Amerisafe leadershipCoaching and mentoring of less experienced sales team membersFoster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service.Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report.
