Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Huntersville, North Carolina

This role is designed for Registered Nurses experienced in stepdown/PCU settings who value collaboration, adaptable leadership styles, and a patient-focused approach. Exposure to different technologies, patient populations, and supportive teams-including advanced virtual nursing support and 24/7 critical care resources-helps expand your knowledge and develop a robust, adaptable practice. Floating within the region gives you the chance to see operations at several leading facilities, deepening your understanding of modern healthcare delivery.


Schedule/Hours:

• Assignments are offered on a travel basis
• Flexibility required for floating within region per facility needs

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• 18 months of recent PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience with: trached/vented patients, cardiac gtts, rhythm interpretation, pacemakers, chest tubes, wound care
• Comfortable with both traditional bedside care and technology-driven tools like EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and virtual nursing support
• Willingness to float within the local hospital network

Responsibilities:

• Provide exemplary patient care for COPD, cardiac, renal, and other complex cases
• Effectively manage 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary unit teams
• Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing care planning
