Position Details

• 2 Full-Time Openings

• 37.5 hours per week

• 36-week contract

• Elementary school setting

• Self-contained classroom

• Students with intensive communication and behavioral needs

• Medium behavioral support environment

• Start ASAP

Responsibilities

?? Instruction & Student Support

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction

• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs

• Support communication, social-emotional, and academic growth

?? Behavior & Classroom Management

• Implement behavior support strategies and accommodations

• Foster a safe, positive, and structured learning environment

• Monitor student progress and collect data

?? Collaboration

• Partner with families, therapists, administrators, and support staff

• Participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License

• School-based experience preferred

• Experience supporting students with autism preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• Must meet all state and local requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
