Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a school-based setting. This contract position in Habersham, GA offers the opportunity to make a sustained impact throughout the academic year. As a TVI, you’ll collaborate with educational teams and families while advancing student learning and access.

Key Qualifications:

• Current GA TVI licensure/certification
• Active GA Educator Certificate required
• Prior experience in a school setting as a Visually Impaired Teacher
• Experienced in Braille instruction and/or supporting the expanded core curriculum (ECC)
• Willingness to attend IEP meetings and support progress monitoring
• Proficiency with Medicaid billing is a plus
• Reliable transportation for on-site work; virtual (VOCO) candidates will be considered

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct services to students with visual impairments, tailoring instruction to individual needs
• Teach Braille and expanded core curriculum as required
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and communicate progress with team members
• Document instructional, assessment, and service delivery activities, including Medicaid billing when applicable
• Provide consultative support to staff and families, ensuring best practices for student success

Contract runs from July 31, 2026, to June 3, 2027. The schedule offers flexibility: approximately 20 hours each week with Brailling, or 7-8 hours per week if Brailling is not required.
